Zendure's Ridiculously Strong Cables Pull More than $30k in Crowdfunding

SuperCord, a new line of reinforced USB cables from Zendure, has brought in over $30,000 USD on Kickstarter.

Zendure demonstrates the durability of their new cables by pulling a car with one.

The company started the Kickstarter campaign offering their new rugged cables in 3ft (100cm) lengths, but by backer demand, they have included 6ft (200cm) cables to the lineup as well.

The cables are available in black, gray, and red with three different configurations:

  • USB-A to USB-C
  • USB-C to USB-C
  • USB-A to Micro-USB + Lightning (2-in-1)

SuperCord cables have extra reinforcement at the "neck", where the cable meets the connector, to provide support to the part where traditional cables typically break. High-strength material is wrapped around each individual wire inside the cables and is woven into the exterior insulation. In addition, the connector pins themselves are made with corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

Zendure's new SuperCord USB Cables are available for pre-order on Kickstarter at a discounted rate and include a lifetime warranty.
