Huawei P20 VS. OnePlus 6
Two of the most recognizable smartphone brands have emerged from China with successful sales in Western markets. Both Huawei and OnePlus will launch their new models of smartphones this year. Huawei launched its flagship phones, P20 for 2018 in April, while OnePlus announced its next giant-slayer in the form of the OnePlus 6 on May 16th.
From the pictures, we can see that it’s tough to distinguish these phones apart from just a quick glance. Because both of them are screen-heavy and bezel-light from the front, both have a notch up top with the screen wrapped around the camera module, and both have glossy glass on the back.
However, there are still many slight differences. In the following, we will compare these two models from the perspective of design, screen, camera and price respectively to give you a full view of Huawei P20 and Oneplus 6.
Screen Display
It's much the same when it comes to screen quality: both of these are excellent displays and both are very similar.
The OnePlus 6 opts for a 6.28in OLED display at 1080p. Meanwhile, the P20 comes in a bit smaller at 5.8 inch and still 1080p and OLED. This is about 8% bigger screen than Huawei P20. Reading, browsing internet and watching movies is more pleasing experience on a bigger screen. But they’re both clear quality, have great contrast, and both impress overall.
Battery Life

It's safe to say Huawei's P20 took a huge detour from the path forged by the P10 series in 2017. Metal backs are out, and shiny, gorgeous, iridescent glass is in. Whichever color you go for, you'll be getting one of the best looking phones of 2018.
The OnePlus 6 follows this trend. OnePlus 6 is the most premium-looking smartphone to come from the company. The back curves beautifully and seamlessly into the display panel, and the black finish on the smartphone looks black instead of grayish, leaving you with a gorgeous smartphone.
In the hand, the OnePlus phone does feel a little more solid than the Huawei devices, but there's no denying the Huawei's are more eye-catching.
Camera

Based on the statistics we can see that there is an around 33% more mega pixel (MP) of Oneplus 6 than Huawei P20. However, actually that’s not the case. Pictures speak louder than statistics. Let’s see the photos respectively took by Huawei P20 and OnePlus 6. First photo is taken with a OnePlus 6, the second by a Huawei P20.
From the above pics we can see slight differences in these two handsets. Photos taken by Huawei P20 have a higher definition and OnePlus 6 tends to cater the viewers’ eye. The OnePlus 6 ships with a dual-camera setup at the back comprising a pair of 16MP and 20MP sensors. On the front, the handset gets a 16MP selfie shooter. Now, going by the specs alone, you’d be right to think that the company is using the same camera setup as the OnePlus 5T on its latest flagship. That’s partly true since the 20MP assisting shooter at the back and the 16MP selfie shooter on the OnePlus 6 make use of identical sensors as the ones found on its predecessor.
Huawei P20 Pro explored triple camera, capable of producing amazing super night mode shots as well as up to 5X hybrid zoom, which has become one of the best phone cameras on the market today. In this regard, Oneplus 6 still has a long way to go.

OnePlus 6: Starts at £469
This is the one area where OnePlus has regularly stolen customer from its competition. Its first phone was labeled the flagship killer because it had many of the specifications of expensive flagship phones, but cost around £200. These days, OnePlus phones are more expensive, but so are big-name flagships.
The OnePlus 6 starts at £469, which is £20 more than what the OnePlus 5T cost when it was first available, but it is still considerably cheaper than Huawei P20.
Conclusion
In recent years, both the screen quality, design and build have been first class on the OnePlus phones, and we have seen some parity between the OnePlus 6 and gorgeous Huawei P20. The real difference comes from the camera. Huawei's Leica cameras are fantastic this year, and OnePlus 6’ cameras are not on par with other premium flagships.
